About

About Me

Adina (she/her/hers) is a DONA trained postpartum doula. She has been working with clients in the Greater Boston area since 2017. She works across the spectrum of reproductive health care, living the principles of reproductive justice that are the right to parent, the right not to parent, and the right to parent our children in safe and healthy communities.*

In my work as a doula, I center my clients’ needs through the lens of trauma informed care; honoring that you are the expert on your own life and carry with you many identities and experiences as you expand your family. I am dedicated to delivering sensitive and empowering care to those who have experienced fertility struggles, trauma, and loss.

I work with families during the first 12 weeks after welcoming a new child. I have worked in the Greater Boston Area with queer and trans families, Jewish families, families with disability, families with multiple births, families welcoming a second child. In addition to my work as a doula, I work with healthcare professionals and organizations to expand reproductive health care access. I believe supporting new parents is in line with the principles of protecting all aspects of reproductive health care and bodily autonomy.

When I am not working on healthcare access or minding babies, you can find me walking around Jamaica Pond or cultivating community through hosting meals and baking cakes.

*SisterSong: WOC Reproductive Justice Collective defines Reproductive Justice as the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.

    Services

My role is to support and empower you during the postpartum period. I help to manage changes, share information, and provide non-judgemental support as you navigate decision making. I hold space to help you strategize as you adjust to new parenthood or to welcoming more children into your family. I also help with practical support in the home, such as meal preparation, laundry, or caring for one child so you can care for the other(s). I am here to connect you to quality and supportive resources around feeding, sleeping, mental health, and physical recovery. Overnight support includes care and feeding for the baby, bringing baby to feeding parent as needed, and laundry.

    Testimonials

    Testimonials

Adina was a source of assurance and expertise during the chaotic and overwhelming early days of parenting. Her overnight visits allowed us to get much-needed rest and she always ensured we were taking care of ourselves. Adina provided amazing resources through her network that even specifically catered to us as a queer couple and was so responsive to our unending questions as new parents. We always looked forward to her visits, knowing we could rely on her extensive experience, her calm, and support when we were feeling uncertain. Her ease with our newborn and her vast well of knowledge always left us reassured that our child was thriving. Adina's equal support for both the birthing and non-birthing parent were invaluable. We couldn't have asked for a better postpartum doula and can’t imagine the 4th trimester without her!
